Faculty Senate Meeting

I will be attending the Marshall University Faculty Senate meeting on Thursday, January 23, 2014 at 4:00p.m. The meeting will take place in the Joan C. Edwards Playhouse on campus. After examining the minutes from December's meeting, as well as the agenda for Thursday's meeting, I see previous minutes need to be approved first. Secondly, many individuals and committees will report their progress. There is likely to be an update from President Kopp about lighting on Fifth and Third Avenues. He will also reference the advancement of various capital projects and buildings. The Budget Working Group will offer updates on the university's budget. Students and faculty were invited to vote on a vision statement for the university. Voting closed January 10, meaning the vision committee may make an announcement at the meeting. Finally, there will be opportunities to speak and ask questions, followed by agenda suggestions for next meeting.
